Barra da Visitação Institucional Integrada em Brasília

Project

To serve the growing flow of tourists interested in visiting the nation's capital, many of the major federal and local government agencies have developed official visitation programs to their premises.

The itineraries of such programs have quickly become major touristic attractions in Brasília. However, because they operated separately, the programs missed the opportunity of enhancing the experience of tourists and providing a richer and complete tour. After this realization, representatives of the public institutions that promote visitation programs felt the need to integrate actions to optimize projects hitherto conducted in isolation.

That is how the group of Integrated Visits to Public Buildings in Brasília (Viibra) came into existence, inspired in the words of president Juscelino Kubitschek, etched into the marble of the City Museum located at the Three Powers Square, as well as on the wall of the Alvorada Palace hall."From this Central Plateau, from this solitude that will soon become the mind where the most important national decisions will be made, I look once more to the future of my country and foresee the sunrise with unbreakable faith and unlimited trust in its great destiny."

Viibra consists of the following institutions:

The goal of the group is to plan and implement joint actions related to communication, accessibility, preservation of heritage and collections, security and capacity building of the professionals involved with the reception and touring of national and foreign visitors.
